A successful medical caravan in the outskirts of Marrakech by Anouar Association

The four-day cataract eye surgery medical caravan was held at the Ait Faska community center in Al-Haouz province, with a joint initiative of the Anouar Association for Development and Solidarity and the Moroccan Association for Medical Solidarity led by Dr. Mohamed Belmaki and in cooperation with the regional directorate of the Ministry of Health, local authorities and the Moroccan Red Crescent in the region of Marrakech.

With the support of volunteers from the Anouar Association for Development and Solidarity, the Moroccan Red Crescent and the medical team of the Moroccan Association for Medical Solidarity managed to carry out 340 medical examinations and 130 surgeries for patients in need of the region.

This humanitarian initiative of the Anouar Association for Development and Solidarity, was provided during the four days. The residents have expressed their fulfillment and gratitude to the medical team and the Anouar Association and said that this initiative helped relieve the suffering of these patients and saved them the hassle of moving to hospitals in remote cities and be exempted from medical costs. They expressed their hope that these humanitarian initiatives will continue in various medical specialties.

In a statement of Mr. Mohamed Dekkak, president of the Anouar association for development and Solidarity, said that this medical caravan was part of the rapprochement of the humanitarian services with residents of the region, in accordance with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI by promoting humanitarian work and strengthening the spirit of solidarity.

Mr. Dekkak expressed his appreciation and thanks to the Moroccan Medical Association for Solidarity, to the Governor and the local authorities of the Al-Haouz region, to the regional directorate of the Ministry of Health and the Moroccan Red Crescent who completed their efforts to ensure the success of this medical caravan.

Mohamed Dekkak expressed his thanks and appreciation to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Union of Women, the Foundation for Family Development and Supreme Council for Maternity and childhood in the United Arab Emirates, which honored the dedication of the mobile medical unit of the Moroccan Medical Association for Solidarity as a gift for the Moroccan people to treat Moroccan patients. In a way that strengthens the relations between the two brotherly countries.

Mr. Mustafa Rouini, a member of the office in charge of logistics, confirmed that the medical caravan proceeded in good conditions in cooperation with the residents of the region, and thanked the medical personnel who had carried out the controls and the interventions and through him at the office of the Moroccan Medical Association.

The beneficiaries thanked the administrators of the medical caravan and Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, who contributed to several charitable and humanitarian initiatives in the Kingdom of Morocco. They expressed their hope to launch more humanitarian initiatives, which will have a direct impact on the population in the coming years.
